School Tour

29th Jun 2022

We had a fantastic time in Newgrange Farm today.  First Class were divided into two groups so some of Ms Hickey's girls joined our class when we got to the farm.  There was great excitement on the bus as you can see from the photos.  The girls sang non stop all the way to Newgrange Farm and thanks to Kayleigh and Kate for leading us in every song.

When we got to the farm the girls drove tractors, sat on a real tractor, played chasing in a hay maze, rolled in tubes and had sand and water play.  The highlights of the day were holding chicks and feeding lambs.  There was also a chance to feed some geese, goats and chickens. The girls saw lots more animals as they made their way around the farm and also had a ride in a tractor trailer. We were very lucky with the good weather and everyone ate their lunch outside at the picnic tables.

We had some very sleepy heads on the bus on the way back, but true to form Kayleigh and Kate led those who wanted to sing and some girls sang all the way back again.

Well done to all the girls for being so good and looking after each other so well all day.  Thanks to the parents who joined us.  A fantastic first school tour for everyone.
