Science in Room 19!

The girls had lots of fun using skittles to conduct a Science experiment!

The girls began by arranging their skittles in a circle, ensuring that there were lots of different colour skittles on their plate. Then, we carefully poured warm water onto the plate. We watched as the colours slowly started to creep towards the middle of the plate, making an amazing rainbow effect!

We learned that skittles are coated in food colouring and sugar. When you pour water over the skittles the coloured coating dissolves and spreads through the water!
