Wellbeing Week 2025
In April we had a fantastic Wellbeing Week to lead us into our Easter Holidays. We began each day with an inspirational quote being read on the Intercom by some of our Committee members. We danced during Yard Time each day to some of our favourite tunes
Here is some of the things we got up to each day 😀
Movement Monday:
Obstacle Courses and GAA Fun and Run.
We drew pictures of things that we are grateful for and make us happy for a school Competition.
Together Tuesday:
We gathered in the Hall to have Assembly to celebrate our fabulous 5th classes who sang in the National Children's Choir.
3rd Classes made healthy Smoothies with Ms O'Callaghan and 4th classes performed for some residents of Beneavin Nursing Home. Carly Donoghue from 6th class also showcased some of her Irish Dancing Skills.
Wellness Wednesday:
Each class enjoyed fruit platters from Glanmore with their Buddy Readers and teddy bears 😀
Eilis from Learn Local Cookery School helped 1st and 2nd classes make their own omelettes and 4th and 5th classes made Quesadillas! Junior and Senior Infants met Eilis the week before to do a sensory food tasting workshop were they tasted lots of food and practiced their cutting skills.
Ms Connolly made Flapjacks with 6th class which were a great success.
Our wonderful 5th classes travelled down to Erin Isle to sing at the Wellness Fair.
Thoughtful Thursday:
Ms Lyons ensured we all were feel relaxed and centred after teaching all classes Yoga in the Hall. We also did some mediations and mindfulness colouring activities.
Fun Friday:
We got to wear bright clothes and watch a lovely movie about feelings and emotions called Inside Out.
Prizes were given out to our Poster Competition winners and we had a well deserved half day!
Well done to all for taking part.
