Wellbeing Week 2026
Wellbeing Week at School
This week, our school celebrated a fantastic Wellbeing Week, filled with fun, fitness, positivity, and activities to support everyone’s mental and physical wellbeing. The children had an amazing time taking part in a wide variety of events throughout the week.
We were delighted to welcome Fred from Fitt Gym Finglas for energetic fitness classes that got everyone moving and active. Students also enjoyed relaxing and mindful yoga sessions with Ms Lyons, helping everyone to slow down, stretch, and focus on wellbeing.
There was plenty of excitement around the school with a giant bouncing castle, dancing on the yard at lunchtime, and daily positive messages shared over the intercom each morning to help spread kindness and encouragement.
Healthy eating was also promoted with delicious fresh fruit platters enjoyed by all classes during the week. We had a Friday treat of some nice icepops which were needed to cool us down after our chalk drawing in the yard.
Students had opportunities to enjoy extra fun and calming activities including bracelet making, extra time with sensory toys, daily meditations and lovely trips to Johnstown Park where classes enjoyed the fresh air and outdoor activities together.
The teachers got very competitive with a Stepathon Competition which created some great banter and fun around the school.
Parents from 1st class were invited into school too to paint some beautiful flower pots in the sunshine.
Wellbeing Week was a wonderful success and reminded us all of the importance of staying active, being positive, supporting one another, and taking care of our wellbeing every day.
